Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of Kalkudam (“the app”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app. The app is also subject to Apple's standard EULA, which applies in full to Kalkudam.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Kalkudam on devices you own or control, subject to the App Store terms and these Terms. You may not redistribute, sublicense, decompile, reverse-engineer, or modify the app except as permitted by applicable law.

2. Free and paid features

The Simple and Scientific calculators are free to use indefinitely. The other seven features — Conversion, BMI, Currency, Bitcoin, AI Math Solver, AR Measure, and Universal History — require a Kalkudam Pro subscription. Subscriptions are auto-renewing and billed through your Apple ID. Cancellation is available at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

3. Accuracy disclaimers

Kalkudam is provided as-is and as-available. We make the following specific caveats, all of which are also surfaced inside the app at the point of use:

  • AI Math Solver uses the on-device Apple Intelligence model. We re-evaluate every answer with our own deterministic expression engine and show the deterministic value to you. The model can still mis-parse a question, and the deterministic engine cannot fix a misunderstanding of the input. Use the AI Solver as a step-by-step tutor, not as a graded-exam answer source.
  • AR Measure uses ARKit and (where available) LiDAR. Even on LiDAR devices, expect a few centimetres of sensor error. AR measurements are not a substitute for a tape measure when precision matters (construction, fitting, medical).
  • Currency and Bitcoin use a cached, bundled rate table. These rates are indicative, not real-time. The in-app screen shows the date of the cached quote. Confirm against a live source before transacting. Nothing in Kalkudam is financial advice.
  • BMIis a population-level screening metric defined by the WHO. It does not account for muscle mass, body composition, age, or pregnancy. Kalkudam's BMI screen is not a substitute for medical advice. Talk to a healthcare professional for actual health decisions.

4. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kalkudam is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Kalkudam, including but not limited to losses arising from reliance on the app's output. The total liability of the app's developers, in the aggregate, is limited to the amount you have paid for the app in the preceding twelve months.

6. Subscription and refunds

Subscriptions are charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refund requests are handled by Apple per their policy at reportaproblem.apple.com; we do not process refunds directly.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
